For people who are inadmissible and have a specific, time-limited reason to enter or stay — not a substitute for rehabilitation when rehabilitation is available.
A Temporary Resident Permit can allow a person who is otherwise inadmissible — often for criminality or a medical issue — to enter or remain in Canada for a justified period. Officers weigh need against risk. A TRP is temporary. Criminal rehabilitation, where you qualify, is the lasting answer for many criminal cases. Port-of-entry TRPs are not a walk-up service we can promise.
